Data Merge is also called Mail Merge and is used when you want to combine a data source file with a target document. This is initially used to generate letters, mailing labels, letter heads, envelopes, etc.
Mesh tool is intricate and requires one to spend time perfecting each detail, however once completed you will be sure to have achieved a 3-D look in your illustrations. This is due to how the mesh tool works where colours can flow in various directions and transition smoothly from one point to another.
A path is the line that makes up an object. A path is either open (an arc) or closed (a circle). A compound path is one that is made by joining together the paths of several objects. You can convert text into a compound path that can be edited by creating outlines from the text. These compound paths can be edited like any other shapes. Read on to learn how to create an outline!

Not many people are aware of the fact that you are able to save an Illustrator document as a Photoshop file and vice versa. Adobe added this feature to able users to seamlessly work in between the two documents, where you can edit text with Illustrator and add depth within the image using Photoshop.
